1. Using your favourite metaphor, describe the most important lesson that you had learnt in your EIR journey.

Through my EIR journey, I realised that sometimes, finding useful information on the internet can be like finding a needle in a haystack. Meaning that relevant information can sometimes be extremely diffifult to locate among the thousands of different sources on the internet.

Therefore, through applying some skills I learnt through EIR, I am able to optimise my search results and gather as much useful information in as little time as possible.

2. Write a paragraph summarizing your findings on your research topic.

Does a terminally ill patient have the right to decide how and when to end his life?

Those supporting euthanasia argue that a civilised society should allow people to die in dignity and without pain. They believe that we should be allowed to do what we want with our own bodies, including choosing the route to euthanasia. They feel that making people contunue living when they don't want to violates their personal freedom and human rights, therfore they believe that it is immoral to force people to continue living in suffering and pain.

They add that as suicide is not a crime, euthanasia should not be a crime.

Those against euthanasia believe that as life is given by God, only God can take away life. Others also fear that euthanasis might be abused and people who do not really want to die might be killed.

Euthanasia is illegal in most countries, although doctors do sometimes carry out euthanasia even where it is illegal.

Therefor the debate on whether euthanasia shouls or should not be legalised goes on.

a. Which criteria did you use to evaluate Stomp.com? Why did you choose this criteria? What lessons have you learnt from this activity?

When evaluating Stomp.com, i had to assess the authority and reputation of the sources. This was because stomp.com is open to the public to post their comments and share their news. Therefore, not all pieces of comments and news from public users can be trusted.

Through this activity, I have learnt not to trust online sources too easily as the infomration they provide may not be accurate.


b. How do you feel about sharing your views via Wiki?

I felt a bit unconfortable sharing my views on wiki at first as I did not know what would people think of my views, however, after several tries, I finally got the hang of it and started to feel that view sharing on wikis are actually fun and informative
